    "FEMALE FEROCITY" by Ajax

It was always sad to see a sister `disgorged', and happened only rarely in the Sigma Omicron sorority, but exceptional circumstances meant exceptional measures, and the cowardice displayed by Estelle Grumier could not and would not be tolerated. Even now, as she was ceremoniously drummed out of Sigma Omicron, the weak-livered bitch was in tears, no doubt recollecting her disgrace in the Meridian Prizering a month ago. That she could have recovered in as little as a month was, in itself, stark evidence of her inability to endure the necessary agony of the ring, and the observers from Sigma Kappa, outsiders so rarely ever admitted here, were equally as stern-faced as the SOs. Grumier's disgrace was no less in their eyes, despite the fact that she had given their woman an easy victory. No-one liked to think of a member of any of the great sororities having to be expelled to the Pleb class.

The world had changed much in the last fifty years, since the Y-chromosome disease had struck down the male half of the population, and decimated it again and again over the previous century. The cure for the dreaded AIDS of the late 20th and early 21st Century had seemed, at the time, a deliverance. But Y-Quash, altering, as it did, the genes of the infected male, had proved dominant, and male births had ceased after the mass AIDS immunization program of 2004. It was a mankind-wide disaster of such proportions that it had rendered the great plagues of earlier centuries trivial by comparison. The problem was that Y-Quash was the most infectious virus ever created, and had invaded every corner of the world with its windborne deadliness. At the time, it had been called the `Anti-AIDS' serum, Y-Quash being its later name when it was discovered (far too late) that its use caused virtually all male foetuses to be aborted. Only that rarest of beings the XYY male mule hybrid survived it, but they could not breed, and the population had been sustained only by the few freak mutational XY males who had a natural immunity to the virus living long enough to beget a further generation. But matters were even worse than this, for had that been the only effect, the population would have grown again. The problem was that the virus itself had changed into a more virulent form that destroyed the immune systems even of these after a few years, and most became sterile before puberty, and because the effect was carried by the genes themselves, even sperm taken from the tiny number of males who survived could not be relied upon to beget other than female children.

The world had had to adjust itself to living without fresh males, and as the surviving generation of 2004 died out, the population had become 99.99% female. Now, the only viable males were those tiny few living in hermetically sealed and sterile domes where their entire life was lived, for there was no possibility of them ever leaving, nor of having any physical contact with any human female. They were there for research purposes only, and to supply the sperm necessary to maintain any population at all while the World Parthenogenesis Organization strove to develop that process, and to develop the species-saving clone programme.

These weighty matters, were, though, no concern of Kateen McAllin; at least, not for the present. The ceremony below her was nearly over as the beaten and humiliated Grumier was dragged away to be symbolically hurled out into the night, all badges, rights and privileges of Sigma Omicron forever stripped from her. Kateen shuddered at the thought of what that would mean and thought that cowardice was too high a price to pay for such desperate exclusion. She also wondered what had happened to Estelle. Something strange, certainly, for she had been present at her initiation a bare five years ago, when as a girl of eighteen the expelled member had presented herself to the Council and had undergone the fearsome initiation to Sigma Omicron without as much as lowering her eyes. Now, all that agony was gone for nothing, and Grumier was on the streets, and would be milling around with the rest of the service herd looking after women like herself and the other sisters gathered here. What, then, had happened? She had seen Estelle Grumier crying on that Dais of Disgrace. She hadn't even cried at her initiation. Something was fouling her up.

Absent-mindedly Kateen reached across with her right hand, and touched the Sigma Omicron monogram scar burned into her flesh at the top of her left breast, her fingers passing under the single strap of her evening gown to do so. The material half covered her left breast; the other was bare, the Sigma Omicron membership medallion pendant from a weighty gold nipple ring, for as this was a formal gathering, the medallion had to be worn. She remembered the agony of that monogram and winced. She had just watched Estelle Grumier writhe in similar agony as her scar had been expunged with a red-hot disc, and she had had to held up to it. If anything, in the outside world, the mark of expungement would be more of a trial to her than it had been inside. The Plebs would certainly have little respect for a woman bearing such a scar, for it would be graphic evidence of her fall from grace.

She looked around the hall. Apart from the officers in their leathers, who had been administering the disgrace, all the sisters were in gorgeous gowns of every conceivable colour and style, hair done in complicated fashions. It was a scene of startling beauty compared with the dark masses of the Outside Women, who knew nothing of the blood-firing excitement of the sororities, especially these two, the Courageous Sisters, and led their menial lives in ways partially agreeable to many and unutterably frustrating to some.

Black was the colour of the visitors from the Sigma Kappa sorority, the conventions demanding that that colour be reserved for outsiders. The four of them sat at a table beside the dais, proudly hooded until the ceremony was done. Now, with Grumier formally expelled, the Leading Sister, the ancient Rosalie de Couronne, rose and bid them reveal themselves, which they did in a body.

Suddenly, Kateen felt her loins tighten and her gorge rise. She knew one of them, the tall redheaded figure of Egren de Piet_?, one of only two women who had ever defeated her in battle. She had wondered earlier why there was something familiar about the confident and purposeful stride of the woman. She should have guessed then, but though a festering wound in her memory, their encounter had been a long time ago, before even the disgraced Grumier had been initiated. De Piet? and von Klause, her twin conquerors, were both high in the ranks of Sigma Kappa, and had remained undefeated in the battle rings of Meridiana for more than a decade. Yet long ago though it had been Kateen recalled the doubled agony of defeat as she had lain recovering from terrible injuries, those inflicted by Piet? being not only ruinous, but long drawn out, as the woman had deliberately torn her to pieces, refusing her the privilege of honourable defeat. De Piet? had had to try to destroy her. Von Klause, whilst not exactly merciful towards a weaker sister, had at least given the coup de grace promptly, rendering to her opponent the bow of honour as she had left the prizering. The desire for revenge against the redhead burned deep in Kateen's breast, and was not untinged by hate.

Later, during the refreshment period, Kateen's blue and Piet?'s cruelly piercing green eyes met across a table and locked, the redhead trying to place this blonde woman whose challenge was manifest.

Kateen McAllin supplied her with the answer. "Bruges '96," was all she needed to say. De Piet?, remarkably, was startled.

"McAllin!" she breathed. "What a battle that was! My greatest triumph at the time. Did I not use my Persian breast wrench on you?"

"And I the navel thrust," declared Kateen.

The reminiscence did not please de Piete?. It had been a telling ploy that had caused her much difficulty under surgeons' hands. "I am surprised you can still face a nipple pendant," she half-joked.

Kateen looked her full in the cruel eyes. "Five months," she told her pointedly. "I was rebuilt, breast and crotch. Even the memory is still painful."

The smile did not reach the other's eyes. "Clearly my technique was unsound," the redhead stated. "I had assumed that that would not be possible. So, you returned to the prizering?"

"Yes. It cost me great effort."

Egren de Piet? laughed, but again there was no amusement in those piercing eyes. "And you have won, sometimes?" she asked.

"All save the bout with Ulrike von Klause," Kateen enlightened. "How is your sister Ulrike?" she demanded to know.

De Piet? spat ritualistically to the carpet, a particularly revolting habit of the Kappas. "Dead, I regret to admit. And," she added, "at the hand of a mere gladiatrix."

"A Kappa? Falling to a gladiatrix? You jest with me," Kate suggested cattily. In fact, many gladiatrices were so skilled that they could often defeat a fully trained sister of less experience. But it was unusual, and even rare for Kappa, since their battle-mores were even harsher than the Omicrons'. Kateen McAllin felt some sympathy for von Klause. She would certainly not have been honoured at her death.

"Again, I regret not. They fought to save her, but the damage was too great, even with a slave-heart. Yet perhaps the death of so weak a sister is not to be so greatly regretted. Had she lived she might have dishonoured us, as has that cowardly bitch of yours." It was said pointedly, her words dripping with vitriol. Beautiful this redheaded powerhouse fighter might have been, but it was only skin deep.

Kateen felt her colour rising. "Ex-sister Grumier has undergone some change," she told the woman. "She used to be as brave as any."

De Piet? nodded carelessly. "So much for Omicron training and selection," she insulted. "Instability is endemic in sub-Alphas."

Kateen's eyes hardened. "Still your tongue!" she commanded. "Or do you seek purposely to impugn my sorority?"

"Most certainly not," the redhead lied. "I merely state a fact. Any organization which admits sub-Alphas takes such a risk. You do admit them, I believe?" Her lip half-curled with distaste as she said it.

"Yes," the Omicron was forced to admit, "but only after the most rigorous examination. All must endure initiation."

De Piet? was tempted to insult that, too, but even she realized that that would have been unjust. No sorority initiation was more severe than the Omicrons', not even her own. Nevertheless she had to counter with something. "She was a sub-Alpha was she not?"

"I believe so," Kateen answered. In fact, she knew for a certainty that she was, and only a Beta at that, not even a Beta+. "Yet that would hardly explain her instability."

"Has she made a birth recently?" de Piet? asked. It seemed a strange question to Kateen. She had had no experience of birthing, and could not see the connexion.

"Yes," Kateen told her, "a few months ago."

"That is the reason for her change," the redhead averred with certainty. "Fighters shouldn't birth."

Knowing that this was a precept of her Kappa sorority, Kateen had nothing to say. She changed the subject. "Is the Persian wrench still in your repertoire?"

The cruel eyes, which had softened momentarily, hardened again. "Of course," Egren de Piet? declared shortly. "One never abandons an effective ploy. Perhaps you would care to experience it again?"

The presence of this woman, and her presumed superiority irritated Kateen. Her eyes hardened in their turn. "Perhaps I would," she replied, "or more likely I'd deal out a lot more than you could stomach."

The green eyes flashed a warning. "A challenge could be a sorority matter. You know the rules about `personals'."

Kateen, now, could think of only one thing - Egren de Piet? writhing before her in beaten agony. She had improved a great deal in the six years since they had last met. But she tried to put that aside. She made one more attempt to avoid trouble. "You refused to honour me last time. That's what really rankles. I lost the fight fairly enough, but there was no excuse for that."

"I only honour worthy opponents," de Piet? stated baldly. "I could not have thought you worthy." The real answer, she knew, was that she had been too hurt by the navel-thrust to do so, but to a member of another sorority she could not apologise, even had she wished to, and with this McAllin woman she certainly did not.

"Apologise, or I shall seek permission to gain satisfaction," Kateen declared.

"Then go ahead. I'm ready." the redhead answered, tossing her breasts challengingly. "You won't get it."

"I might!" The declaration was ice cold and deadly. "And if I do you will be forced to participate."

"I would not need forcing. I'd comply willingly. You have learnt nothing."

    * * * * * * * * *

And so had started one of the greatest furores seen inside Sigma Omicron for years. Kateen McAllin presented her case to the Council, requesting a personal duel with Egren de Piet? of Sigma Kappa. At first it was not well received. Personals often fell outside the auspices of the sororities, and were regarded as common public fights which even the Plebs were entitled to attend, and many did. That, to either McAllin or de Piet? represented the lowest level to which any sorority woman could sink. To Kateen's grievous disappointment, her request was denied. If she and de Piet? wished to fight, the sorority would not sanction it.

But there was a twist in the affair that none of the Sigma Omicron Council had expected. Egren de Piet? was an Alpha+, the highest possible social rank, and her Council could not refuse her request to count the battle as a sorority listing match. Sigma Kappa ranked one higher in the hierarchy of all sororities than did the Omicrons. There had been rivalry before when Kappa had acquired their ascendency, and more when the sorority between them, the Phi Iota had jumped above SK. De Piet? saw an opportunity here of establishing Kappa as a challenger for Iota's position.

"And if you should lose this mad contest?" the chair demanded to know, "What then?

"There is no question of my defeat," quoth the super- confident Kappa Champion, "merely of the manner of my victory."

Not all were convinced, but many were status-greedy enough to be so. A crack at unseating Phi Iota was the bait that the clever redhead placed before them, believing that a note to the Omicron Council would force them to accept the match as a chance, albeit a long one, to supersede the Kappas on the ranking. Omicron had never been higher than where they now were. A climb in rank would mightily increase their pull in the Parliaments of the world, and increase their personal prestige to unheard of heights. Being women to a woman, such a change was so attractive that it took no more than a single vote to pass the proposal that it would be a ranking bout, and Kateen was recalled.

Kateen was instantly worried. Before, it had merely been a dispute over an apology between women of honour, coloured by mutual dislike. Now, it had suddenly turned into a major event with hundreds of sisters dependent on her for their personal status. But having asked for it she could not back down without risking Estelle Grumier's fate, and had to accept. The first round had already been won by the egregious redhead.

She trained for the bout like no other she had ever had. It was to be held in the Meridian Prizering - the High Temple of sorority fighting - six weeks from the day of de Piet?'s Council's note. The first ranking bout for three years made it a most important struggle, and ensured that the Prizering would be jammed to overflowing with members of both sororities, and visitors from the others, including the threatened Phi Iota, of whom most members were black, and whose fighting was widely feared all over the planet.

But it was not to be. Two days before their bout was due to go on, the intervention of those very Phi Iotas who might lose their ranking insisted that the battle be kept close on pain of exclusion of both the Kappas and Omicrons from their arenas, a risk that neither Council was prepared to run. The two principals were called together and given an ultimatum. Either they must call off the encounter or perform in strict privacy. Since they had both put in a lot of work there was no doubt of their decision. If Meridian would not have them, then someone's country house would. Aileen de Lysset Colgreavance, latest of a long line of illustrious fighting forebears, and currently Chair of Sigma Omicron, offered her chateau as the venue. It was quickly accepted, and the opponents declared themselves satisfied to perform there.

Secretly, Kateen was relieved, and de Piet? chagrined. Instead of the violent exposure of the Meridian hoo-ha they could fight their own battle untrammelled by fears of performing badly before a blood-crazed audience, thought Kateen. She would be deprived of the exquisite pleasure of utterly destroying this upstart Omicron in the white-hot blaze of publicity, thought de Piet?, though they both knew that the smallness of the audience at the Chateau Colgreavance would not ease their agonies, for the infliction of pain upon a trained and seasoned opponent was meat and drink to both these women, and for all her less strident personality, Kateen McAllin was quite capable of ruining any woman who cared to battle with her.

As she was accoutred for the battle on the appointed night, Kateen had never been fitter or stronger in her life. The same, she was sure, would apply to Egren de Piet?.

It went without saying that this bout would be fought to a conclusion, and with passion, for strong sorority loyalties were at stake, loyalties that in these days of weak liaisons between surviving XYY males and sorority sisters had taken the place of the personal sexual rivalries of former times. Women measured their success now, not in the possession of a rich male, but in the positions they held in the sororities. At least, women of the class of Egren and Kateen did. Plebs often measured it in work rate. Amongst the upper classes now, rank was all. And although it had not been mentioned in the negotiations and wheeler-dealing which had set up this fight, rank was at stake here. Egren de Piet? was already high in Sigma Kappa, and high in that sorority was a very good position. Kateen, younger than de Piet?, was still rising in the Omicron ranks, and there were those who would see her rise more slowly if they could, though not, as far as she was aware, any who were gathered at the Chateau Colgreavance today. In a rare expression of sisterhood their hostess herself, Chair and top woman of Sigma Omicron was to act as Kateen's second - in this level of fight a very exacting job indeed, for there was no limit to the number of rounds the women would fight. The encounter would continue until one or other was unable to continue. Typically of the woman, Egren de Piet? had two seconds, her young charge Zoe Candaar, and the Lieutenant Grand Seal of her sorority, the imperious Grosna von Sulzbach, a woman now fifty, who in her younger days had been the match of anyone in the world at this kind of brutal battling.

Both participants had ensured that all their affairs were in order. Death was not exactly probable, but was most certainly possible, and neither sorority would have any sympathy with the loser. Now that the encounter had been reduced to the level of a `personal', neither could call upon the resources of their respective sororities to assist them, only those that Aileen de Lysset could provide from her own funds, though these were plenty. Apart from the fighters it was necessary that at least ten other people must be present, a referee and timekeeper, four sorority representatives, two from each one, and the four camerawomen who would record the encounter for posterity, each bristling with microphones and feel detectors, tuned to pick up and record the brain-waves of each woman.

For such an important bout, even if it was a personal, the costume worn would be most important. The chief elements of the costume were the boots, belt, helmet and throat-collar. Affixed to the belt was the shaped V-cloth that would cover the women's loins and buttocks though neither of them expected much of that to be left after their fight. In addition they had elected to use elbow gouges, often selected by fighters when heavy breast attack was to be expected. Nowadays this was almost always.

The sorority all-in fight was of a kind that could only be practised between women in the modern era. When there had been men to direct things, their sensitivity to the suffering of womankind had tempered what fights were available to them. Such cruelty as was always displayed at sorority meets would not have been permitted. But with that constraint removed, the female of the species had taken on her true nature, vital, viciously aggressive and brutal to the nth degree. Since there was no longer need for her to remain attractive to entrap a male all artifice had been swept away, and women like Kateen and Egren were able to indulge themselves in orgies of violence that even fifty years ago, in the mid-21st Century, would have been frowned upon, and a hundred years ago would have been unthinkable.

Hand in hand with the disappearance of the male as any kind of force in society had gone the vast explosion of medical and technical knowledge that enabled the most shredded bodies to be reconstructed (though long and painfully) and the capture on portable media of laser-disc and torus, chip and memory block, light prism and defraction panel, of all the feelings and emotions of the women fighting which could be tapped into vast numbers of purpose built reception cubicles where any sorority member could dial up and enjoy an almost infinite number of hair-raising experiences from the rings and platforms of the world. Today's encounter would be just another of the hundreds that were no doubt taking place around the globe at this moment.

These battles were generally referred to as `encounters', for the style of fighting had no generic name. It was just known as a sorority fight, and took the form of mild boxing and milder wrestling right through to the kind of battle Egren and Kateen were preparing for. Bone-smashers, crotch tearers and breast rippers were all kinds of sorority fight that had a currency of a sort, and most were typified by a sexual attack of such severity that the fighters would often lose the chance of reproducing. Indeed, so prevalent was this side-effect of sorority fights that the science of cloning was making great strides as a means of allowing the women to pass on their genes. A few, like the disgraced Estelle Grumier, were permitted to breed by implantation and birthed their daughters between encounters. Once, practically all women could exercise their right to bear children, but after 2004 the chance for them to do so lessened, and by 2050, with Y-Quash in the ascendency, actively altering the male genes, such a thing was practically unheard of. In many ways the drastic fall in the level of population had been very comfortable after the crowding of the late 20th and early 21st century. Food became plentiful and pollution lessened, and many hailed the change as nature's evolutionary drive to protect itself. Certainly the Earth was fresher and greener as a result, and the numbers of large cities were still dwindling quickly as the new female population moved back to the land and closer to nature.

These changes affected the sororities hardly at all, for the lives of their women were lived in luxury apartment blocks set in country parks, and in buildings such as the Meridian Centre, a vast complex set amongst the oceans of grass to which the Great Plains of the American mid-west were reverting. Another was the Anglian Centre, set in London, and using many of the buildings of the city where the male activities of money-making and empire building had been carried out. Such edifices had long since closed for in a society where success was measured by personal rank and status, such money as there was retained by those who had originally had it. Progression was by work-rate or sorority ranking, not by the possession of funds, for credit ratings were determined by these and not by the accruing of fortunes.

The fight between Kateen McAllin and Egren de Piet? might in former years have been considered in the same light as the swinging of a `big deal'. The victrix would gain enormously, the vanquished would remain where she was on the credit and social ranking ladder.

They met in the ring, set in the ballroom of the chateau, each prepared to give her all to an encounter whose repercussions might reverberate world-wide through the adjustment of ratings that would follow it. So there was a great deal to fight for, and much was at stake.

Each wore similar garb, modified only by the peculiarities particular to their sorority. Kateen's knee-boots were black leather, topped with the Omicron design of crotch-gouger, an inverted V of metal fashioned with dull edges, for gougers were not allowed to be sharp. Egren's were of bleached doeskin, topped with a spike having a ball finial to avoid the sharpness of a spike alone. Their elbow-gouges were the same design, strapped firmly to the upper arm immediately above the elbow, and a deadly weapon against the full breasts of an opponent.

Belts were also of leather, buckled at the rear, and having suspended from them the V-cloth that covered the crotch and buttocks. Fashioned in the front like a pair of obtuse-angled isosceles triangles with the vertices meeting below the navel and one short side of each sewn together, the material passed between the legs to meet an equilateral triangle that covered the buttocks, its vertex downwards, where the three pieces of silk that comprised them were sewn into a whole, and were made to fit each woman exactly. Kateen's cloth was red in deference to her blonde colouring, and Egren's bright green to contrast with her dark auburn hair.

Throat collars, similarly, were of the appropriately coloured leather and studded to discourage blows there.

The helmets, though, were of different designs. Egren's Kappa design approximated an old-fashioned 20th century open head-guard as worn by the professional boxers of the time in training. The march of time had provided it with a visor, now made of stainless titanium gauze, but otherwise it was of leather reinforced with metal beneath. From the rear of the helmet, her long and lustrous auburn hair, almost chestnut in colour, fell about her shoulders in soft waves. The supreme fitness of Egren de Piet? caused her to look nearer twenty-five than her real age which was some ten years older than that, but her really stunning feature was the lovely 140lb body that graced her 5'7" frame. Hips slimmer than average gave her a lissomness of movement that was envied by all her opponents, Kateen notwithstanding, and the firm, high and thrusting breasts, not overlarge, were what women had dreamed for centuries of possessing, and had often had to obtain by the use of artificial implants. Her skin was fair, and the nipples sweetly pink, and beneath it there lay the tough sinew that typified her kind. Her costume was completed by studded cuffs that were locked onto her strong forearms, brass against the bleached leather of the cuff.

The Omicron helmet was of racing style, once seen by riders of motorcycles, again of leather reinforced with steel and visored with plastiglass such that only her nose and mouth were exposed to Egren's fists. It was black and attached to the throat collar. At the rear spilled less hair than from Egren's, and of such a shade of blonde that it might once have been called `autumn gold'. Three centimetres shorter than the redhead at 1.67m, she was heavier, 67kg to Egren's 63kg, the extra eight pounds clearly set about fuller breasts and wider hips, though her musculature was no less impressive. The same style of cuff was fastened to her forearms, and at twenty-six she had a considerable advantage of youth over the Kappa woman.

Seconds wearing flawless bright white fashion boiler-suits seemed incongruous in a fight where blood was sure to flow before very long, and since the hostess was occupied, her Estate Steward performed the introductions, mostly for the benefit of the cameras, though the sorority representatives sat impassively with a pair of XYY escorts drawn out of the pool of such men for the day. Both males looked heavy jawed and truculent, disgusted at having been brought to attend yet another of these bloody encounters, which offended their quite manic maleness. It was said with some justification that all these gorillas were useful for was tickling a woman's clit, but well without the endurance of a dildo. Their presence offended even Aileen, who was not a woman given to many caprices.

But they were a side issue. Aside from them the room was packed with status. Even the camerawomen would quite possibly be high up in the technical sorority, for it was no use sending beginners to do a job of this magnitude. The referee was a Phi Iota (that had been insisted on by a sorority who had a vested interest in this fight), as was her timekeeper, both being hard-faced mulatto women eager to see a Kappa and an Omicron destroy each other. Both Phi Iotas were dressed in one-piece trouser-suits of magenta satin with side zippers - a style that would once have been regarded as `sexy', a word now almost gone from the language.

The start was the usual stilted breast-test, both women striding together and slamming into each other breast to breast. So firm were they both that each hurt the other, and the flexing of broad pectorals drove nipple into matrix and started the pain that was to build to agonizing proportions.

Egren was first to extend the struggle, fisting Kateen hard in the side, and aiming to push her away. Never one to hold back in a countering situation, the blonde lifted her left knee towards the Kappa's groin and felt the edge of her crotch-gouge drive into the main ligament at the left side. Egren replied with a gasp and ran her left fist and cuff across the Omicron's right breast. Then they stepped away and circled warily. Since neither wore toe-pokes (small finialled spikes sometimes set on boot toes for effective kicking) there was no kicking at this point, each aiming to rely on fist power to weaken the opponent.

They closed and bellied each other, fists drumming against hard muscle and neither finding a weakness. With a quick dart inside, Kateen drove her left elbow-gouge under Egren's chin, taking a smart blow to the outside of her left breast for her trouble, but it had showed the redhead that for all her stockiness, Kateen could move fast. She followed it with a right forearm drive that clunked into the Kappa helmet and sent the older woman reeling to her right towards the ropes. She used their spring to throw herself back at Kateen and flat-breasted her again, hoping that her firmness would be great enough to hurt the heavier woman. They rebounded apart, Kateen twisting down and leftward to bring her right e-gouge hard against the other's mons veneris. Another pained gasp was drawn from Egren de Piet?, but no mark showed as it had landed on the green V-cloth, and no-one considered that she was as yet in the slightest difficulty.

She repaid the blow shortly after by using her balled crotch-spike against Kateen and bringing a pained gasp from her. The sorority women smiled to each other. Towards the end of the first round, and the fighters were beginning to settle down to it.

A short burst of furious breast-beating was ended by the Phi Iota's bell, and the women retired to their corners for their minute's rest, using the swing-in stools for the first time.

Neither was more than slightly flushed as they enjoyed the coolness of the second's sponge, and Egren had her throat collar adjusted slightly to attempt to minimize the effect of any further chin-gouges from Kateen.

It was the Omicron fighter who scored the first success of the second using her e-gouge again, this time against its intended target, the redhead's breasts. Such a gouge, skilfully plied, could bruise a breast right through to the underlying ribcage, and Grosna von Sulzbach was slightly worried by Kateen's undoubted ability with those weapons. She had scored three good blows with them already, and this time, the damage could be seen on her charge's fair skin in the form of a deeper reddening on her right breast than the pure fisting had produced.

But it was not long before de Piet? turned the tables on her, catching her momentarily untensed about the solar plexus and doubling her with a hard straight left, driving full in from the shoulder. As she came forward the redhead was ready. As though expecting the blonde to come down to her, she lifted her right knee, and drove her balled c-gouge into the meat of Kateen's left breast.

Taking a punch there was one thing, but taking a full-blooded knee-lift assisted in its penetration by the ball-spike, drew a cry from Kateen and sent her reeling back in fiery agony. Egren followed, fisting the younger woman to the side of the helmet, knocking her off balance and off her feet, only to drive her left foot into her slack belly as she fell. Kateen, down, doubled and writhed for a long moment before she got herself under control and back on her feet as the Phi Iota reached eight.

Egren tried to capitalize on her advantage, but driven to save herself, Kateen raised her foot and landed a stamping kick to the redhead's crotch, stopping her in her tracks and making her eyes water. While her vision was affected, Kateen drove her right e-gouge to the fullness of the redhead's other breast then downed her with the vicious navel thrust, her left knee coming round as she spun on her right foot and slamming to perfection the V-top of her c-gouge full into Egren's navel. Still hurt to the belly, she lurched away to the ropes in a neutral corner, leaving the Phi Iota ref counting over the moaning Egren.

Incredibly, the fight might have ended then had not the buzz of her three-minute timer induced the TK to clang her bell while the count was still below twenty, and the hurt Kappa was literally dragged to her corner by her two seconds.

Kateen strolled to her corner and sat leaning back so that Aileen could work on her kicked belly. There was a slight weakening of the muscles there which she would have to be careful of when things got hotter. As yet, though somewhat battered, Kateen was not experiencing any very penetrating pain. Egren de Piet?, significantly, was. The terrible `navel thrust', which had almost pulled her first fight with de Piet? round, had worked for her again, and there would be much concern in the other woman's corner now about her fitness to continue to dominate the fight. Not being able to do so would be a new experience for the skilful Sigma Kappa, and one that could well bring her natural courage and endurance to the fore.

As it was, they only had a minute to get Egren fit enough to rejoin the contest and everything was sacrificed to that end. She was in agony and would remain so for at least five minutes, meaning that Kateen would have the whole of the third round to worsen it. Sorority mauling with one's guts on fire against a comfortable woman was a bit like walking a tightrope with candles playing on your nipples - practically impossible.

She came out ashen, and only just able to stay upright, but the clear light of determination still burned in eyes that for the first time in this contest flashed hate at the heavier woman.

Kateen leapt straight in, a knee flashing for the belly. Egren ducked to avoid it and took it in the breasts, the V-top of the c-gouge carving into her glandular tissue, and bringing another cry. With breasts almost as agonized as belly she grabbed Kateen around the waist, and drove her helmet hard into her breasts, the power of her strong legs driving the Omicron backwards. Kateen punched her opponent to the ribs, but when she was hurt like this, Egren was at her most dangerous. Suddenly she straightened and breast-smashed into the heavier woman, taking her to the ropes. Her right hand came free, and as it had to, clawed into Kateen's left breast, the specially strengthened fingers bringing the blonde to agony sooner than she had expected. She carried it and reached for the redhead's groin, but her hand was knocked away by a rising c-gouge that drove cleanly up her vagina, almost taking her clit with it as it went. Sensing its success from the length of its travel, Egren wrenched back her knee, jerking the vagina forward against the back of the pubis and crushing the bottom of the bladder as it did so.

Such was the agony of this dual effect that Kateen screamed in torment, and almost fainted where she stood. The world spun briefly, righted itself and came back to her with such a surge of internal agony that she projected herself upward, trying reflexively to leap free of the penetrating spike. She succeeded, but her whole lower body seemed paralysed by pain, and for a moment she only had her hands to work with. There was still something in her, but she hadn't time to think before smashing her fist through the gap in Egren's helmet and smashing her nose flat against her face. Blood poured in a rush, almost choking the redhead, and Kateen used the moment to step to the side before wrenching Egren's hand downwards and off her left breast, the Kappa's claws dragging a deal of skin with it. She swung behind the redhead, drove her V-top c-gouge towards her anus, and forced her to the ropes. Her breasts fell across them outside the ring, and leaning on Egren from the rear, Kateen sawed the breasts to and fro along the rope until blood spurted from the underside, and with the Kappa fighting for breath stolen by agony, Kateen kicked her legs from under her, and speared right kidney with right knee-gouge.

Egren shrieked and fought to twist away and rise, while Kateen with a swipe of her elbow-gouge, knocked the Kappa helmet forward and off her opponent's head. The thing fell heavily to the apron and bounced into the crowd.

Kateen could not at first understand why the agony in her crotch refused to subside. She was certainly free of Egren, but something still tugged at her damaged clit. A glance down told her what. The ball-ended spike had not, as she had imagined, penetrated her V-cloth, but had snapped it free of the belt on the right side, and forced the material five inches up into her. She knew that she must not pull it out least it brought the clit with it, but the third was only seconds old, and there was more than two and a half minutes of it to endure.

With her helmet gone, Egren was in a dreadful situation, and it would take all the Kappa's training to survive the round. She turned away from the ropes, her bloodied and burning breasts throbbing a fourth hell at her to join the belly, breasts, and kidney. Her right breast already felt internally damaged by the knee-lift she had elected to take there instead of in her ruptured stomach, and she could almost feel it swelling. But the pain in her right kidney had slowed her to a miserable shuffle and her legs had gone weak. Not though, she suspected, as weak as Kateen's lower body.

They moved around each other woodenly, both ashen faced with pain, and Kateen, despite the torture of the caught-up clit, knew that now was her best chance to do real damage to the redhead, her sweat-soaked hair now loose slapping round her shoulders. She bustled towards Egren de Piet? and trapped her in a corner with von Sulzbach screaming in German for her charge to get out of there. But there was nowhere for either of them to go, and clawing her left hand Kateen struck for Egren's eyes, just visible above the mass of blood that was her lower face. The pulped nose was effecting Egren's breathing badly, and despite her clumsiness about the legs, Kateen worsened her problem by booting her in the solar plexus. The upper muscle of the stomach still held to some extent, though it was unbelievable agony for Egren to tense it, and the kick was only partially successful. Kateen had deliberate used her left leg where was there was no vaginal entanglement of the V-cloth, and did not suffer for it except the doubling forward she had induced enabled Egren to seize her left breast again. The small agony there, compared with that lower down, hardly registered, and although she could probably have plucked an eye out, she discovered that she did not hate de Piet? that much. She contented herself with ripping open both eyebrows with her studded cuff, then shattered the previously perfectly even teeth of the Kappa woman with her left elbow-gouge.

Completely blinded by blood it was imperative to Egren to keep hold of the breast if only to know where her opponent was, and the result was a hellish ballet enacted by a blinded Kappa and frightened Omicron as the redhead's other hand probed for her groin, and the possibility of tearing out the red V-cloth and ripping her clit clean off. She turned away from Egren to her right, increasing the pull, and consequently the agony in her left breast as she tried all the time to interpose her left thigh between the blindly groping hand and her groin.

Unable to reach any part of Egren with her right hand, she had to be satisfied with shredding the redhead's exposed right ear with her left stud-cuff, the pain of that adding to her urgency to reach Kateen's groin.

In the Omicron corner, Aileen de Lysset Colgreavance, no less rapacious in such situations as her illustrious great-great grandmother Imogen, watched the performance of her sorority mate with admiration, and had the satisfaction of seeing one of her more important contributions to the design of the Omicron helmet upheld as Egren lost her Kappa version. It had always been Aileen's claim that helm should be attached to collar. Had Egren's been she might have snatched a moment in the midst of the struggle to replace it. Now she faced the rest of the round completely unprotected, and Kateen had already exposed the catastrophe of that.

Keening in pain as her left breast was ripped and scored, twisted and tortured, by hands strong enough to burst a tennis ball, Kateen somehow held her control, until with a jerking twist of her body, she ripped the mangled gland free of the clawing hand, and pulled back from the in-fight.

Egren staggered desperate and blind out of the corner, only having her left ear to tell her anything of Kateen's position, for she could smell only blood, see only blood, and her right ear was filled with it, the outer part of it hanging in shreds amongst her hair, which was changing from auburn to blood red as her gore soaked more and more of it.

Egren blundered out not knowing where or how she was going to be hit, heard a sound and turned to her right to face the XYY gorilla who had just belched. At the full sight of her, the man leant forward and vomited onto the carpet at the timekeeper's feet. She withdrew them hurriedly and withered him with a glance - or would have done had he not keeled over in a dead faint into his own sick, and rolled under her table. She withdrew along it and raised the striker to hit the bell as the timer was just running off the last seconds of round three.

The round was running its course, and in the Kappa corner a desperate Grosna von Sulzbach was calling for a cautery, a wash-tub, and 10mls of stimulant. "Help me!" she shrieked to the Kappa sisters who sat observing in their ringside seats, and they leapt to her assistance. Aileen nodded her assent to the items Sulzbach called for and turned back to see her charge start another navel thrust to de Piet?'s blundering form. She swayed in the wrong direction, and Kateen's drive took her to the hip, knocking her off her feet, and covering the immaculate referee with a spray of good red Kappa blood. Aileen smiled quietly to herself. A Phi Iota wouldn't care for that.

Kateen stood back and waited for the count, but had seen the TK raise her striker and expected the round to end before the count had got far. It only made it to six, though even by then, Egren de Piet? was struggling to rise.

She was still quite conscious as they helped her to her corner to do what they could in the minute they had. There was no time to anything about her body, she would just have to fight on with her pains there, but her head and face were in a dreadful mess.

She was hauled right out of the ring and her head stuck in the tub. That removed most of the wet blood, but it must have been agony as her raw right ear was doused, as well as her smashed nose and the split eyebrows.

Von Sulzbach worked with frenetic speed as the others held Egren to her ministrations, and the cacophony of screams that arose punctuated Kateen's own moans as Aileen, working steadily and alone, eased the red silk carefully from her vagina and re-clipped it to her belt. The easing of her agony was such a relief that Kateen, despite the agony from her torn breast, felt almost relaxed while Aileen ran the sponge over her, allowing her to hold an ice bag between her legs to ease the pain in her groin. It was not equal to the task, and she was bleeding little from the crotch as the internal damage throbbed insistently.

But compared with Egren, the Omicron was almost unscathed. Once von Sulzbach had washed the blood from her woman's eyes she cauterized the eyebrow cuts, sliced away the remains of the ruined right ear, and prised the remains of her broken teeth out of the mouthpiece that hadn't saved them. The nose she could do little about, but she managed what she could, and then slipped the helmet that one of the Kappa women had sat clutching for the bulk of the round back onto the battered head. The cauterized flesh was forced against the bloodied leather, and just as the bell called them back to battle, she rammed the hypodermic into Egren's thigh, and sent her screaming back into the fight as her head cleared with the drug and the full force of her agony hit her hard.

Against a woman that hurt, and almost berserk as a result of the drug, Kateen knew she had to be careful. All the marking of the previous round and the bloodily dripping undersides of the redhead's breasts was startlingly evident as Egren, her ire knowing no bounds attacked with vicious desperation. She leapt in, kicking and slashing, and Kateen was forced to evade most of it to escape a terrible retribution.

She caught a foot in her belly, and a slashing downward rake across her right breast when they came close for a moment, and exchanged that for a pair of brutal punches into the Kappa's bleeding breasts.

Then, blown by her whirlwind attack, and with her system adjusting to the flood of drug, Egren calmed down, still aware of her agony, but now out to reduce Kateen to the pitiful wreck of a beautiful woman she knew she already was herself. Robbed of her speed by her early assault she could not move fast enough into the battle to gain much advantage, and Kateen, waiting for her to settle, was late in attacking herself. However, when she did, and they were well into the fourth, Egren was snarling in rage and agony once more as Kateen's strong fingers fastened into her crotch and began crushing and ripping her labia. The Kappa seized the left breast again and started to wring it so powerfully that the pain almost lost Kateen her grip, but she swallowed hard, and stuck to her task.

It was now that the younger woman felt the weight of the sorority honour pressing her. She had to withstand her own agony in order to further weaken the Kappa, and abandonned her efforts to free her brutalized breast in order to use her other hand, the right, to beat at the full breasts of Egren. This scenario continued till the end fo the fourth, when they both returned to their corners starting to tire and desperately hurt.

It had taken a mere twelve minutes to reduced them to such a state of near wreckage that Kateen began to worry. These battles were always long and punishing, but Egren's power of recovery after the terrible happenings of the third scared her. The woman seemed almost inhuman.

During the fourth the green V-cloth had been torn away from the Kappa's body to reveal shaven mound, smeared with the blood that Kateen had spilt in splitting her crotch. Her breasts still bled from their under-tears, and gore was splashing down onto her chest from the flattened nose. The remains of the V-cloth were torn away, and seeing it, Kateen urged Aileen to remove her red one, not wishing to run the risk of getting her clit caught up in it again. She revealed an unshaven bush of soft blonde pubic hair, and there were a couple of raised eyebrows around the ring. Mounds were generally shaved for these encounters. They wondered whether to object on the grounds that she was taking an unfair advantage, but let it pass for it seemed so small compared to the destruction which had already been wrought that it was insignificant.

The break gave the Kappa corner a chance to deal with Egren's nasty under-tears, but short of cauterizing her again there (not likely to be too effective) there was little that could be done except with styptics.

By now Kateen's pain-throbbing crotch was easing, and a second minute-long application of ice returned her to the fray as crotch-fit as she could be made.

After the fireworks the women were concerned to conserve some energy, and approached the fifth with caution. But it did not last. Egren de Piet? had so much ground to make up that she upped the pace to take maximum advantage of the stimulant she had received. Both stimulants and pain-killers were technically allowable by mutual agreement in sorority fights, and though they had agreed upon the use of the stimulant, no mauler worth her salt allowed analgesics to take the edge off the pain she caused her rival.

Egren, though still in agony, retained her wits, and surprised Kateen by a sudden change of tactics, balling her dripping claws into fists and driving hard punches into the blonde's breasts in order to get close in and begin using her c-gouges again. Kateen elected to take that to get a claw-hold on the redhead's smaller breasts, and wrenched them upwards and apart, tearing open the under-wounds again. Without the danger of the ball-ended Kappa knee-spike driving the V-cloth up her, she was more confident, and they stood for a time, each seeking opportunities to do some vaginal damage.

Locked together they moved about the ring, grunting and groaning as blows and knee-lifts found tender flesh, Kateen taking a great deal of punching to her belly, but ripping and twisting at the other's breast-flesh until Egren was almost retching with pain.

The Omicron woman had not used her helmet offensively since the very start of the bout, and suddenly brought it into action, leaning forward to head-butt the redhead violently to the gauze visor. The bleached leather helm was smashed into the cauterized eyebrows and caused a screech of pure agony to be torn from Egren.

The war of attrition continued through the seventh, eighth and ninth rounds, with them each using their toughened hands to torture the other. In the tenth they reverted to the use of the knee-spikes and mashed labia and violated vaginas dripped blood steadily to stain their thighs and boots as they stood close like Muy Thai girls out to rive a belly and used the most diabolical breast claws and wrenches that they could devise.

Her lighter weight was now acting against Egren de Piet?. Slowly and inexorably, the heavier Kateen was getting on top of Egren, keening in agony though she was at a touch to her ravaged breasts, of which the left was now a lump of flayed, furrowed and bleeding flesh hanging from her chest wall by the wrenched and ruptured matrix tissue. The Kappa, her sight constantly blurring from the effects of bitter exhaustion, draining torment and loss of blood, began to falter, the iron grip of her strained hands weakening, and the fight was reaching the point where Kateen's youth was telling. Egren was feeling every second of her thirty-five years as fingers, then hands, and finally whole fists were driven again and again up her vagina, the thrusting penetrations rocking her to the roots of her being. Kateen had locked in at the start of the tenth and was torturing the redhead's most intimate regions with dreadful deliberation. There seemed nothing left of Kateen's lymph-slimy breast-meat to grip and damage any further, and the Kappa was trying to claw her way into the Omicron's very bowels, having scraped away the skin of her belly, in the hope of bringing her low.

They stood and destroyed each other, too exhausted and pain-racked to do much else, and the cries of encouragement from the floor began to lessen as even the sorority factions saw that the two blood-slicked figures were losing all control over their bodies. Bladders and bowels had emptied more than once as they fought, and the time was rapidly approaching when neither would have any strength left to do more than fall against each other.

De Piet? was stimulated a second time at the end of the tenth, and again before the start of the fourteenth. Kateen, her supply of adrenalin almost exhausted held on and held on until as they were about to come out for the fifteenth she allowed Aileen to shoot her a slug. The shock of feeling was so great that she staggered and almost fell as she rose to come out, but she knew now what she must do. How Egren could endure three shots of this pure hell the Omicron would never know. She had thought her inhuman earlier. After she still stood with three shots of glooch in her, her belief hardened. Egren de Piet? was totally abnormal.

But Kateen McAllin knew what she had to do. The Kappa woman either went this round, or she would never go. Kateen was on the edge of complete burn-out herself, and she waded in with the last of her strength, using the e-gouges on the ruptured flesh of the redhead, driving her vees again and again into the solar plexus.

Suddenly de Piet? doubled forward in crippling agony, and in that single motion she lost the fight, though it was to take Kateen two more bloody and hideous rounds to finish her. Her right breast, hugely swollen from the punishment it had taken, but not as badly scored as the other, fell to a vertical hang. In an instant, and disregarding everything else, Kateen ducked, seized the flesh in both hands, then wrenched hard downwards with her arms while driving her right shoulder up and using the full power of her legs to push de Piet?'s body in the opposite direction from that in which her breast was going. The internal tissue of the gland was thus forced so hard downwards into the nipple from the rear that the duct tore wide open in four, and it burst through her areola, a stream of steaming blood flooding to the ring floor.

The most hideous of screeches was torn from Egren's throat as the last part of her that was whole tore apart and did so with such appalling agony that she dropped to her knees and knelt there screaming, again to be saved by the clang of the bell.

There was an audible gasp from the small gathering as Kateen succeeded with the move - for she had performed a perfect and devastating Persian breast wrench against the world's leading opponent of that very move, the one which had brought Kateen to defeat years before.

They dragged her to her corner and made what repairs they could, sending her back in after the useless minute for a sixteenth time. To save the contents of her right breast from spilling through the hideous wound, de Piet? returned to battle with her right hand clamped over the obscene hole, blood even now cascading through her fingers.

She could no longer defend herself, and Kateen set about finishing her with the same merciless female ferocity she had displayed all through the contest. She worked her into a corner, split her legs apart, and drove the V-edges of the knee-gouges into her crotch until blood cascaded from there too. It was sheer butchery, but Egren de Piet? could do nothing to save herself, mind blown with agony yet feeling every blow of the gouge in her heightened state of drug-induced stimulation.

Tiring of the ritual slaughter, Kateen stepped away and waited for her to fall to defeat. She wouldn't, so she stepped back and launched herself into a full drop kick to the solar plexus. De Piet? fell to her knees vomiting, her legs all ways on the blood-slithery canvas, while the mistress of the charnel-house, the blood-soaked Phi Iota referee, counted.

Incredibly, at fifteen, de Piet? was back on her feet. Kateen slammed her down again. She got up again. The third time the round ended before she made it, and once again she was dragged to her corner and partially revived.

Von Sulzbach performed a miracle in getting her up for the seventeenth, but Kateen McAllin had had enough of the shambles she was working in. Another navel thrust ripped the redhead's abdominals asunder, and drove with the deepest agony into her visceral cavity tearing her colon free from the small intestine as it did so. This time the sheer hell of her condition blew the lid off de Piet?'s mind and she fell limp and unmoving, possibly dead, in the centre of the ring.

McAllin waited for the count to finish, and her blood-slicked arm to be raised, before turning, and staggering to her corner where she fell into the arms of Aileen de Lysset Colgreavance, and immediately lost consciousness herself. As in that fight in the dim and distant past, she had refused to honour the fallen de Piet? as that woman had failed to honour her years before, and such was the reward for her victory.

Much to her disgrace, the green eyes of Egren de Piet? had not closed for the last time as she collapsed three quarters dead to the canvas of the Chateau Colgreavance, and she was to live on for another thirty years existing on her past honours as the leading fighter of her sorority, but she had been so nearly killed, and so close to destruction, that although reconstructed, her spirit was broken, and she was never able to enter a ring again.

Kateen McAllin was also sent for reconstruction, and emerged from the hospital in the early summer of 2103, ready to resume her career. She rested and strengthened herself for a year, was elected to the Council of Sigma Omicron in the spring of 2108, and was cloned in 2111, after which she retired from active battling, and found herself Estate Steward to Aileen de Lysset, with whom she became firm friends.

In later life, during 2133, she and Aileen had the pleasure of seeing the Sigma Omicron Sorority overtake the Phi Iotas to become the third ranked of all the world's sororities when her twenty-two-year-old clone, Karen McAllin, defeated the leading Phi Iota, the High Champion, Cindy of Quellshall, in a thirty-round thriller at the Meridian Centre

It seemed, on that night, that the road had come full circle, and at fifty-seven years of age, Kateen McAllin retired from sorority involvement to spend her declining years much in the company of her friend of thirty years, the one-time High Chair of Sigma Omicron, Aileen de Lysset Colgreavance.

Ajax and I exchanged hand written snail mail letters during the latter quarter of the last century. I bought some of his stories and encouraged me to dust off some of my old hand written material and get a type writer. Instead I got a new-fangled IBM box with a big floppy drive, almost unseeable monochome screen and dip switches you had to use if you wanted to do anything new. Despite being told by everybody that this latest fad would pass I went ahead and plunked down what for me then was a ton of cash. Writing for his list and playing text based computer games were really the only reason I owned a computer for years before anyone I knew.

I've got this story photo copied by Ajax on English sized paper somewhere in my "burn upon my death" files...thanks for posting it.
